Simplicity ~ Why

Welcome! This video class will help you unlock the key aspects of living simply: Autonomy, Gratitude, Generosity, and Gentleness. We’ll also talk about the key motivators to simplicity – the big WHY that keeps you in line with your intentions and helps you hold on to simplicity long term.

Grab your journal and begin here.

Autonomy

Autonomy means letting go of what we think we have to have… so that we gain self governance.

Gratitude

Gratitude means changing our mindset to the wealth we already enjoy rather than focusing on (and striving for) what we don’t have.  Gratitude opens the door to the kind of creativity that restructures what you already have to meet needs – because you may already have plenty.

Generosity

Generosity begins at home by fully funding your purpose

Generosity is not big and glorious in our lives unless it also has an outward focus.  Remember the life changing power of new tires!

Gentleness

Gentleness starts with respecting God’s creation in myself and continues by respecting God’s creative work in making you. When we hold on to an awareness of God’s image in each of us, we can be gentle.

Self-acceptance (gentleness with self) helps us ward off clever marketing so that we can stay in a place of Simplicity and Peace.

Wrap Up

Consider how you can make Autonomy, Generosity, Gratitude, and Gentleness more central to your daily practice.  Consider how friction keeps you from doing some things, and keeps you doing others… then make changes that suit you.  You can use friction to manage your habits so that you can make these desirable qualities more central to your daily practice.

I hope you’ve found this video class on these strategic aspects of a simplicity mindset helpful.

All my love,

~Carmen
